BRAND PURPOSE
Cocoon is like a "house" to incubate and nurture a small worm to turn into a beautiful and gorgeous butterfly in one day. In this sense, Cocoon is the “home” for Vietnamese people, helping you become more beautiful, more perfect and shining in your own way.
It was born for a simple reason to beautify people from close and familiar ingredients. The Founders also favors Vietnam's nature with an extremely rich plant world from fruit trees to herbs. Inside they hide valuable nutrients that are not only delicious to eat but also very good for skin and hair. Therefore, there is no reason for us to refuse such an available and wonderful source of raw materials.
Cosmetics, like foodstuffs, are "nutritious foods" that bring beauty to people. With the progress of society, people tend to look for plant-based foods to protect their health. Along with this mindset, vegan cosmetics became a favorite trend of many people going green. Therefore, Cocoon is continuously researching and launching 100% vegan cosmetic products which maintain all Vietnamese plant nutrients, safely and benignly, do not use ingredients from animals, and do not test on animals.
PHILOSOPHY
Cocoon loves nature, always enthusiastic about discovering the familiar ingredients from vegetables and fruits in people's daily lives. We always look for how to put them into cosmetics products but still maintain their nutrients intactly and perfectly. These botanicals are rich in vitamins, antioxidants and minerals to promote skin health. So, what could be better than putting them on your skin to the fullest extent possible.
Through research and experimentation, the formulas are formed and gradually become perfect. They have worked and met the expectations of Vietnamese people: safe and effective. For us, the mission of Cocoon is to make anything put on our skin must be safe, effective and animal-free.
MISSION
We were born to give you healthy, youthful and vibrant skin and hair from simple and close sources of ingredients that you eat every day. We always keep one mission in mind: applying the benefits of the food around us combined with scientific understanding to create cosmetic products that are safe and effective for everyone.
The arduous journey to true beauty is not your own mission, we will accompany you on that journey. It's always been like that, forever and ever.
COMMITMENT
100% ingredients are of clear origin and safe for the skin: this is our absolute promise and commitment. All ingredients in our products have documents proving their origin from domestic and foreign raw material suppliers.
All products are studied for 12 to 24 months before being put on the market, tested to pass tests for microbiology, pH, stability over time, temperature, irritation (according to the standards of the Japanese DRC center with a branch in Thailand) and must fully meet the regulations and circulation on the market according to the regulations of the Ministry of Health of Vietnam.
Of course, our products are formulated to be free of ingredients such as parabens, formaldehyde, phthalates, hydroquinone, triclosan, and more. In fact, we ban hundreds of harmful ingredients and update them regularly, following the standards of the Vietnamese Ministry of Health. Cocoon always respect the law love and your skin.
100% vegan: We do not use the animal-derived ingredients that are commonly found in cosmetics such as: honey, beeswax, lanolin, sheep placenta, snail slime, shark liver oil, silk, etc. Instead, we utilize and maximize the capabilities of active ingredients extracted from plants without the support of animal-derived materials.
100% not test on animals: Cosmetic formulations of Cocoon are researched and tested by laboratory tests (in-Vitro test) or on volunteers (in-Vivo test). Parallelly, the raw material suppliers also go hand in hand and strongly commit that they do not test on animals during the research and production of those materials. Due to humanity and immutable promises to customers and the community, we do not test on animals such as rabbits, mice, fertilized egg yolks, etc.
COMMITMENT GOES HAND IN HAND WITH ACTIONS
Cocoon is very honored to be the first Vietnamese cosmetic brand to be approved and certified in the Leaping Bunny program of Cruelty Free International organization, which commits to not testing on animals and taking no cruel actions to them. We are also certified to not test on animals by the animal welfare organization PETA.
We, ourselves do not perform animal testing and do not require other companies, organizations or individuals to perform animal tests under our brand name. Cocoon is proud to be a participant of two global programs which are Leaping Bunny of Cruelty Free International and Beauty Without Bunnies of PETA. These are the two most prestigious programs of animal protection and commitment to zero cruelty in the world. Therein, Leaping Bunny is considered to be the global "gold standard" for cosmetic, personal care and household products. By now, more than 1,000 brands have been approved for this program worldwide.
All Cocoon-branded cosmetic products which are approved under the Leaping Bunny and PETA programs are marked with a "rabbit" symbol on the packaging for easy identification by consumers. We strictly follow the policies and proactively monitor our suppliers to ensure that our products continue to comply with the Leaping Bunny and PETA criteria.
In addition, Cocoon has been approved by The Vegan Society - a world age-old educational charity that provides information and guidance on various aspects of vegan living. With the "sunflower" symbol, The Vegan Society is also one of the most prestigious certifications for products that are free of animal-derived ingredients and non-testing on animals.
COCOON TAKES PRIDE IN BEING A 100% VIETNAMESE COSMETICS BRAND
The COCOON ORIGINAL VIETNAM believes that beauty products should be cruelty free. We are proud to be Leaping Bunny approved. A global programme, Leaping Bunny requires cruelty free standards over and above legal requirements.
All of our own brand cosmetic and personal care products are approved under the Cruelty Free International Leaping Bunny programme, the internationally recognisable gold standard for cruelty free products. We adhere to a fixed cut-off date policy and proactively mgg onitor our suppliers to ensure that our products continue to adhere to the Leaping Bunny criteria. Our supplier monitoring system is also independently audited.
